Organized by AGMINIS, the MALL-BUSINESS-HOUSING DESIGN COMPETITION invites architecture students and recent grads from all over the world to develop a conceptual proposal for a new mixed-use complex in the city of Aguascalientes, Mexico. The complex should incorporate housing and office and commercial space, with the aim of a creating a new neighborhood center in the city. Registration is free and ends on October 21, 2015.

OBJECTIVES
As in many parts of the world, the social problems that exist today are the result of a lack of creating a community, which develops values and communication between individuals. Within the project it is required to create a neighborhood center where people can develop and create their own space that can be used for visiting and contemplation. A place that centers around business, coexistence and communication.
The aim of the project is to develop and foster innovation, along with caring for the environment, and without losing sight of the building's efficiency and low maintenance. The project should always put a focus on the people.
Project clauses
The project should be considered with a platinum LEED certification from the USGBC and meet the requirements according to the BD + C V.4

REGISTRATION

It is important to note that prior registration is required to participate. If a project is submitted without previous identification it will not be subject to review by the jury.

The documentation will be provided to contestants, and contains graphical information and technical information. It will be available on the competition website.

Within the contest period there will be an area within the website of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's) which will be answered during the project.

The attached files include photographs of the terrain, location and maps, and also a file in DWG.
DOCUMENTATION
Documentation has to be electronic, and sent via wetransfer or an email, no larger than 25mb. All files should be in a compressed file, ZIP or RAR with contestant number on the file. Files that should be included are:

2 images with paper size 90x60cm

JPEG and PDF files in the panels with a minimum quality of 300 dpi

Dossier with a maximum of 5 pages, in which you can write additional information to explain the project, as well as sketches and diagrams to complement the information already exposed.

Plan or sketch in PDF format with a minimum quality of 300 dpi

Resume of the team members in PDF format with a maximum of 3 sheets that include a contact email that can be used in case of being selected as the winner.

JURY
Upon receipt of the proposals, the jury will meet in plenary session to select 5 finalists, of which the winner in accordance with the bases stipulated will be selected.
The jury will announce the award of prizes on the date stipulated. The secretariat of the competition will be published on the website, the names of the winners and their graphics documents will be published on the webpage. In addition, winners will be advised via email and will be asked for their account data to make the prize deposit.
